What is Crypto Wallet Lookup Tool ₿?

The HIF Logic Crypto Wallet Lookup Tool queries the public Bitcoin blockchain via the Blockchain.info API to retrieve real-time balance data for any valid Bitcoin (BTC) wallet address. Bitcoin transactions are permanently recorded on a public, immutable ledger — meaning any address and its transaction history are openly accessible to anyone. This tool reads three key values for a given address: Total Received = sum of all incoming transactions (in satoshis, displayed as BTC) Total Sent = sum of all outgoing transactions (in satoshis, displayed as BTC) Current Balance = Total Received − Total Sent Where 1 BTC = 100,000,000 satoshis (the smallest unit of Bitcoin). The balance formula is simply: Balance = Total Received − Total Sent All data is sourced directly from the blockchain in real time. No historical balance snapshots, no estimates — the values reflect the address's actual on-chain state at the moment of the query. Important: Bitcoin wallet addresses are public by design. The blockchain is a public ledger and this data is accessible to anyone. This tool only displays what is already publicly visible on the network. HIF Logic does not store, log, or retain any addresses or results from this tool.

How to Use This Tool

  1. 1

Copy your full Bitcoin wallet address — it will be a string of 26–62 alphanumeric characters starting with 1, 3, or bc1.

  2. 2

Paste the address into the input field above.

  3. 3

Click "Look Up" or press Enter. The tool queries Blockchain.info's free public API in real time.

  4. 4

Review the results: Total Received, Total Sent, and Current Balance are all shown in BTC (8 decimal places).

  5. 5

To find the current USD value, multiply the balance in BTC by the live BTC/USD price from any exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, etc.). Live USD conversion is not included as crypto prices change by the second.

Real-World Use Cases

Verifying a Payment Was Received

If someone claims they sent BTC to your wallet, paste your address into this tool and check your current balance and total received. The blockchain records every transaction permanently — if the BTC was sent and confirmed, it will appear here. No need to log into any exchange or app.

Checking a Vendor or Charity Wallet Before Sending

Before sending Bitcoin to an unfamiliar address — a vendor, donation page, or peer — look up their publicly shared address. Seeing prior transaction activity (non-zero received count and balance) gives a signal that the address is legitimate and has been used before. A brand-new address with zero history is not necessarily a red flag, but established addresses provide more context.

Monitoring a Known Public Wallet

Researchers, journalists, and blockchain analysts often track publicly disclosed wallets — such as exchange cold wallets, institutional addresses, or addresses tied to public figures. This tool provides a quick, free way to check the balance and transaction count of any publicly known BTC address without needing a full blockchain explorer.
